Nineteen-year-old Olivia Dean has the perfect reputation, the perfect boyfriend, and an increasingly perfect CV. She has it all, until Christian breaks up with her in public, calling her out as a self-gratifying sexoholic: the kind that plays solo. But Olivia doesn’t do any such thing — the only thing she does at night is sleep … right?
Now all the boys on campus seem to want her attention for the absolutely wrong reason — including resident hottie, Logan Hays. He's pulling out his best moves to gain her attention, so resisting his sexy charm is hard work. With rapidly slipping grades, a disturbingly lurid reputation and demanding parents, Olivia must discover the truth behind her rumoured sleeping problem. If she doesn't, the perfect life she's worked so hard for may slip away, including the one person who has Olivia breaking all her rules — Logan.
What do you do when you’re asleep?
***
Shh! is a story about acceptance, learning to trust and in turn love while facing life's unexpected difficulties.
NB: This book is of a mild heat level, and contains no explicit sex scenes.

What were you like in school?
I was pretty shy at school. One of those bookish girls who smiles nicely at everyone, but won’t start a conversation for fear of stumbling over her own words and looking ridiculous. It’s taken me a good many years and I’m still a huge introvert, but I’ve finally overcome the shyness.

What was your favorite subjects in school?

English was my favourite subject by far. I loved analysing stories and poems, even translating Chaucer was fun. I also loved history and went on to study it at university level.
Is any part of the book based on someone you know or events in your own life?

I get asked this a lot, because the Oxley books are set in the same town where I went to university. Although I drew off my time there when writing, the books aren’t based on events that happened.
What book are you reading now?

Right now I’m reading Summer Skins by Kirstie Eagar. It’s a lot like the Oxley College books, as it’s also Aussie NA.
Do you have any pets? (Pictures would be great)
I sure do! We’re cat people in my house and we’ve got two. A sleepy seventeen year old kitty named Az and a naughty two year old puss called Elvis.
Tell us about your book.
Shh! is an Aussie-set new adult romance. It centres around Olivia; college sweetheart, student body president, captain of the hockey team and … sufferer of an unusual sleeping disorder.

Was this book inspired by something in particular?
It was! I read a news article a few years back about sexomnia, a parasomnia that affects 1% of the world’s population. The news article was about a man and he was affected in a different way to Olivia. But after a lot of research I discovered the self gratification side to sexomnia and before I realised what I was writing, I’d created Olivia.
Do you have a trailer or do you intend to create one for your own book/s?
(* please provide a link to trailer if you have one)

What do you like to do in your spare time?
When I manage to wrangle some free time, I love bushwalking or adventuring as my kids call it. Geocaching is also a favourite past time, along with reading.
